But my first ever outside the Philippines, just comfortably nearby though, in neighboring Vietnam¹ ²
— officially my first elopement in mainland Southeast Asia.

I just love how my “elopees”, despite them having similar reasons for taking the off the beaten path to matrimony, still allow their relational-emotional nuances as a couple to take centerstage. Everything else takes on a supporting role.
